About Dr Steadman
Dr Steadman qualified from the University of Bristol Medical School in 1999. He then under went general medical training in Bristol before moving to Birmingham for his specialist training in cardiology.
He took two and a half years out of his training to do clinical research in Leicester funded by the British Heart Foundation and the National Institute for Health Research, completing an MD (Doctor of Medicine) in 2013. He has many peer-reviewed publications and over 40 abstracts at national and international meetings.
He was appointed as a Consultant Cardiologist in Poole in 2013. He specialises in advanced cardiovascular imaging providing diagnostic cardiac tests for patients in Poole and the region. He was one of the first people in the UK to gain level 3 accreditation (the highest level) in cardiac MRI from the European Society of Cardiology. He also has level 3 accreditation in cardiac CT from the British Society of Cardiovascular Imaging, and is accredited by the British Society of Echocardiography for transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography.
