About Dr Poynter

Lynn graduated from Leicester University School of Medicine in 2000. She did her SHO and registrar training in Wessex and was appointed as a Consultant in 2012. She has worked as a consultant in both Royal Bournemouth Hospital and Poole Hospital (where she is currently based).

Lynn is passionate about all aspects of Medicine for Older People as well as Medical Education and Mentoring. Lynn was the Foundation Programme Director at RBH for four and a half years before becoming the Interim Director of Medical Education at Poole Hospital. She has recently been appointed as the Director of Medical Education for University Hospitals Dorset.
