Qualified from University of Bristol 2007 with honours. Completed general medical and gastroenterology training in Severn and Wessex deaneries. This included advanced training in inflammatory bowel disease at the University of Hospital Southampton. I have an interest in both basic science and clinical research having completed 3 years of research into the role of macrophages in inflammatory bowel disease at the University of Southampton for which I have completed a PhD thesis.

This included an advanced training fellowship in inflammatory bowel disease at the University of Hospital Southampton. Dr Dharmasiri has an interest in both clinical and basic science research having been award a PhD for his research into the role played by intestinal macrophages in inflammatory bowel disease.
