About Dr Kitchener

Ruth graduated from the University of Southampton in 2012 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Medical Science. After completing her Foundation and Core Medical Training in Salisbury and Poole Hospitals, she gained a Diploma in Tropical Medicine from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She then spent a year working in Kisiizi Hospital Uganda, before returning to the Wessex region to complete her Registrar training in Geriatrics and General Internal Medicine. She completed this training in 2024 and joined University Hospitals Dorset as a substantive Consultant in Geriatric Medicine
