Dr Sally Killick
Consultant Haematologist
Specialties
Haematology
I trained at St Thomas' Hospital in London. I then specialised in haematology at St George's Hospital and the Royal Marsden Hospitals in London. I have developed an interest in Myelodysplastic Syndromes and Aplastic Anaemia, and have become a Key Opinion Leader in these diseases. I have published widely and I am proud to be the first author of two National Guidelines which are used in MDTs around the country.
What people can be referred for
Patients with haematological malignancies, bone marrow failure and general haematological abnormalities.
Why I chose my specialties
This speciality has made huge strides in the last 20 years and now offers effective treatment to many patients with haematological diseases. A haematologist can both diagnose and treat blood disorders, allowing an appreciation of bench to bedside in every day practice. It is a hugely rewarding speciality as we get to know our patients very well over many years.
