Dr Christine Fox
Consultant Rheumatologist
Dr Christine Fox trained at Birmingham University and spent her early career in the West Midlands before moving to the South Coast. Christine has been based at Christchurch since 2017, with a specific interest and role in running the Giant Cell Arteritis service (the GRACE clinic for Temporal Arteritis) across Dorset. Christine also has particular interest in bone health, musculoskeletal ultrasound, vasculitis, and the transition of young people into adult medicine. Dr Fox has completed a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Infectious diseases, as well as a post-graduate qualification in Medical Education. Christine chose rheumatology as her specialism given the devastating impact rheumatological conditions can have on a person's life and the rewarding opportunity that early intervention can provide in helping to restore an individual back to towards living a normal life.
Christine has a young family, and enjoys living by the coast and not being land-locked. She has a love of medieval history, an eclectic music taste, and finds pleasure in painting.
