About Dr Mukherjee

Dr Mukherjee has been working as a consultant in rheumatology since August 2013. He sees patients with all forms of inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases, vasculitis, crystal arthritis including gout, osteoporosis and fibromyalgia. His sub-specialty interest is psoriatic arthritis and he does a weekly psoriatic arthritis clinic as well as a quarterly combined psoriatic disease clinic with the dermatologists. He also organises and chairs the Wessex psoriatic disease network meetings. He supervises the spinal advanced care practitioners and sees complex patients with spinal pain and radiculopathies. He is actively involved in research and is the Principal Investigator for the British Society for Rheumatology Psoriatic Arthritis Register (BSR-PsA) study. He is also the departmental lead for clinical audit and governance and he provides educational supervision to the specialty trainees in rheumatology.
