What people can be referred for
For the investigation of symptoms such as breathlessness, cough or wheeze.
To investigate an abnormal CXR or CT scan of the chest.
For the management of Asthma, COPD, Pulmonary Fibrosis, Bronchiectasis, Sarcoid and Pulmonary Embolism.
Why I chose my specialties
I enjoy the detective work that is involved in trying to establish the cause of a symptom, the clue is often in the story/narrative that the patient gives me.
I hope to listen to someone's story, to try and understand what is going on, and to help if I can. I'm lucky that I have a great team in the Thoracic department and the Hospital to help me.
