Mr Mallick was awarded a PhD at the University College London for his thesis on Ischaemia Reperfusion Injury of the Intestine and Strategies to prevent this.

He completed Advanced Colorectal Surgical Fellowship at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland Ohio and then was appointed as a consultant in Bournemouth in 2015. He has continued to develop his interests and expertise as a consultant. He has additionally been involved in pioneering new surgical techniques aimed at improving the outcome for patients.

Mr Ismail Mallick is a Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon. He is a JAG accredited Endoscopist and is a trainer. He has a wide range of experience in the management of colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel and diverticular disease, coloproctological conditions (fissure, fistula, pilonidal sinus and haemorrhoids) and pelvic floor problems including rectal prolapse.
