  About

  Andy is responsible for training Ophthalmologists in cataract surgery and is the College Tutor for ophthalmic surgical trainees at UHD. He is a Visiting Professor at Ulster University for the Postgraduate Diploma in Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and is on the Council for the United Kingdom and Ireland Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.

  Special clinical interests

  Andy has a particular interest in complex, higher risk cataract surgery, iris reconstruction, lens calculations, refractive surgery including laser vision correction and astigmatism.

  Research

  Andy is active in research with over 25 publications in the peer-reviewed scientific literature, and regularly speaks at national and international conferences.
