The Dorset Prosthetics Centre is situated within the Royal Bournemouth Hospital at the far end of the East Wing adjacent to car park F.
The Centre provides Prosthetic services to patients of all ages with limb loss. We offer a range of prosthetic options to meet the needs of patients with upper and lower limb loss and multiple limb loss.
We offer services pre-and post natal, pre and post amputation, for patients who may be non limb wearing but have amputation related problems, and for those patients wanting a second opinion.
We do not offer a service for prosthetic eyes, maxilla-facial prosthetics or breast prosthesis.
We are an NHS service commissioned by NHS England and work to national standards. As an NHS patient attending our centre all the treatment and prosthetic provision is free.
