Consultant Rheumatologist

Dr Florea has qualified as Rheumatology Consultant in Romania in 2008 and came to UK in 2012. Dr Florea initially worked as registrar between 2012 and 2014 across of number of units before taking up a locum Consultant post in UK in October 2014. In October 2015 Dr Florea joined Dorset County Hospital as a locum Consultant and this post became permanent (substantive) in January 2017. Dr Florea worked at Dorset County Hospital until early October 2021 then joined University Hospitals Dorset later on in October 2021.

Dr Florea has more than 19 years of experience working in the field of Rheumatology, treating patients with inflammatory arthritis, connective tissue diseases (Lupus, Sjogren's, scleroderma, dermato/polymyositis), vasculitis, gout, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, Paget’s, seronegative spondylarthritis / ankylosing spondylitis, polymyalgia rheumatica.
