About Dr Wiltshire

Dr Wiltshire trained at Guy’s, Kings’ and St. Thomas’ School of Medicine and qualified with distinctions in clinical practice and clinical science. He worked as a doctor in emergency medicine, general surgery and respiratory medicine before commencing specialty training in anaesthesia.

Dr Wiltshire was admitted as a fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2014 and was awarded the Nuffield Medal. He completed specialty training in the Wessex deanery and in addition has undertaken fellowships at Charing Cross Hospital, London (airway) and Queensland, Australia (perioperative medicine and anaesthesia for major general surgery).

In 2017, Dr Wiltshire completed the postgraduate diploma in perioperative medicine at University College London developing interests in frailty, preoperative assessment and shared decision making.

Dr Wiltshire was appointed as consultant at Poole in 2018. In addition to his clinical commitments, Dr Wiltshire enjoys teaching. He is an advanced life support instructor for the Resuscitation Council and is an examiner for Southampton University Medical School.

Dr Wiltshire and his family live in Dorset. He enjoys playing the guitar, singing, cycling and gliding.
