About Dr Sharer

Following a first degree in Biochemistry and a period in medical research at the Clinical Research Centre, Northwick Park Hospital,  in London, Dr Sharer trained as a General Physician and Gastroenterologist/Hepatologist in Portsmouth, Newcastle-upon-Tyne and Manchester. He was appointed at Poole Hospital in 1996 and is currently Upper GI Cancer Site Specific Group co-chair, a Clinical Lead to the Nutrition Steering Group and Lead Clinician for Alcohol Care and Treatment Service.
