About Dr Baker

Mr Charles Baker was appointed as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2016.

Charlie graduated from UCL with a distinction in clinical practice in 2005, and had a broad based training in general surgery, medicine, orthopaedic surgery, emergency medicine and general practice before starting his specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology.

His advanced training centred around minimal access (keyhole) surgery, ambulatory management of gynaecological problems, the treatment of women’s cancers and advanced labour ward practice.

He has received several awards for patient care from different hospitals during his training.

Charlie is local to East Dorset, having attended high school in Bournemouth. He is married with three children, and spends his extracurricular time playing cricket and rugby.
