About Dr Crowther
Dr Crowther trained at Guy’s Hospital, London, and qualified in 1989. He held registrar posts at Guy’s, St Thomas’s and King’s College Hospitals, London, and as an asthma research fellow in Sackler Institute at Kings College Hospital.
Appointed as a consultant in respiratory and general medicine at Poole Hospital in 2000, he is now the lead physician in respiratory medicine as well as director of medical education. He is also Director of Education for our St George’s Students Grenada and is an Associate Professor of St George’s Medical School, Grenada.
Articles and publications
Dr Crowther has published articles on beta2 agonist enantiomers, written a chapter in a book on Sympathomimetic enantiomers as well as editing the MIMS formulary chapter on COPD. He has written an article in GP Update on Sarcoidosis and continues to lecture locally on airways diseases.
Research
2017- Principle Investigator at Poole for the GSK NTHi 004 study looking at Haemophilus Influenzae vaccination in moderate to severe COPD, with Poole being one of 11 centres in Europe participating.
