About Dr Chris Davies
Dr Chris Davies qualified at Birmingham University Medical School in 1990 and trained in general medicine and respiratory medicine in the Oxford region and commenced as Consultant Physician to the Royal Berkshire & Battle NHS Foundation Trust in January 2000. He completed his postgraduate degree (MD) on Pleural Infection and did research on sleep apnoea. He was awarded his Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians in 2004. He moved from Reading to Poole Hospital in October 2018. Has co-authored the BTS Pleural Infection Guidelines (2004 and 2010) and the BTS Pulmonary Embolism Guideline (2018) and was Programme Director for Respiratory Medicine for Oxford Deanery between 2006 and 2011 and a member of the Specialty Advisory Committee for Respiratory Medicine at the Joint Royal Colleges Postgraduate Training Board (JRCPTB) between 2007 and 2011. Between 2011 and 2015 he was the Director of Core Medical Training for the Oxford Deanery/HETV. Chris is involved in both respiratory and general internal medicine at Poole Hospital, and sees patients with a range of respiratory conditions, with special interests as above.
