About Dr Dorman

Saskie Dorman joined Poole Hospital as a consultant at Forest Holme Hospice in 2006, having trained at Cambridge University, King's College London and completed specialist training in Wales.

She is currently lead clinician for the palliative care multi disciplinary team (MDT). She is based at Forest Holme Hospice but sees patients in their own homes, in care homes, in clinic, at the hospice or on the ward of the acute hospital or local community hospitals.

Forest Holme Hospice supports people with any advanced, progressive life-threatening illness. Within the team, Saskie leads on palliative care for patients with lung cancer or urological cancer.

She is active in palliative care research (breathlessness, nausea, patient preferences) and was clinical lead in Dorset for the palliative care funding pilot, a national project to inform the development of a tariff for palliative care.

She is a trustee of Forest Holme Hospice Charity.
