About Dr Kelsall

Miss Kelsall went to Bristol University in 1995, to read medical sciences. She took a year out of her medical studies in 1997 to complete a BSc in psychology gaining a 2:1 and completed her clinical training in 2001. She became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (trauma & orthopaedics) in 2012 and obtained her certificate of completion of training in 2015. She also holds a diploma in tropical medicine from Liverpool University and was awarded a merit in her Master of Arts in Medical Education from Winchester University.

Miss Kelsall spent a year as a fellow in foot & ankle surgery at the Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals and has spent time following specialist foot & ankle surgeons in Germany (Dr Wolfram Wenz), Italy (Professor Gianini) and diabetic foot specialists in the UK.

Miss Kelsall has been a consultant trauma & orthopaedic surgeon based at both Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and the Royal Bournemouth & Christchurch Hospitals NHS Trust since 2015. Here she manages fractures and acute orthopaedic injuries on a regular basis including soft tissue injuries. She performs regular fracture clinics and general trauma related surgery. She has a specialist interest in trauma and elective problems affecting the foot & ankle as well as diabetic foot conditions. Miss Kelsall has been involved with the organisation and delivery on medical education projects at a local regional and national level.
