Treatment and Investigation Unit (TIU) relocation to Poole Hospital

This is an update on a significant development at University Hospital Dorset (UHD) that will impact the services provided by the Treatment and Investigation Unit (TIU).

Commencing from 1 June 2024, all TIU services at UHD will be relocated to Poole Hospital. This strategic move is part of our commitment to enhancing services and optimising patient care. Consolidating our TIU services at Poole Hospital is designed to streamline access to care - with the entire TIU team available to support patients seamlessly throughout their treatment.

While we recognise that this relocation may pose some inconvenience to your daily routine, we believe that the benefits will far outweigh any temporary disruptions. The consolidation will result in an expanded and improved workspace, fostering a better working environment for both patients and staff. This initiative is an integral part of a larger transformation and development programme aimed at elevating healthcare standards in the region.
