Our hospitals are extremely busy, and we are asking the public not to attend our emergency departments unless it is for life-threatening illness or injury.

This will support our teams to see those patients who need our life-saving care most urgently.

For less serious illness or injuries, or if you are unsure, please call NHS 111, contact your GP, visit your local pharmacy or walk-in health centre.
