UHD catering goes cashless

From Friday 26 May the retail catering facilities at Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch hospitals will be cashless - aligning with the current situation at Poole Hospital.

This decision has been made to reflect the change in spending habits. It also simplifies operations whilst at the same time streamlining the checkout process and financial management involved in processing cash.

Commenting on the news, Stuart Willes, UHD head of operations, said:

“We have been working towards standardising our catering services for several months now to deliver a consistent process across all three sites.

“For us, steps like this are always about improving the customer experience and the whole team are looking forward to being on-hand and ready to help to ensure that the catering experience is as smooth as ever.”

It has been confirmed that there will be no minimum spend on transactions so everyone is welcome to use our catering facilities - even for a quick snack or drink.
