Now is the time to make a difference and support our new trust, University Hospitals Dorset, by putting your name forward to be part of our Council of Governors.

It has been an unprecedented time in the NHS recently and the support shown to all NHS organisations has been remarkable. Applying to be a Governor now will put you and your fellow governors in a vital position to help the Trust and the Board of Directors move forward and ensure we deliver best care for everyone.

Why become a governor?

University Hospitals Dorset is a new Trust established on 1 October 2020. As a newly established Trust we are electing a Council of Governors. At University Hospitals Dorset our Governors are crucial and valued partners, whose expertise, enthusiasm, challenge and support will help shape our Trust. They represent the views and interests of Trust members and the local community, including the people who use the Trust's services and their carers; the public; staff; and partner organisations.

Our Governors help ensure that our Trust is rooted in its community and responds to community needs.
