RBH: Reminder - roadworks start tomorrow

The roadworks previously highlighted in earlier bulletins start tomorrow (Wednesday 14 July). The work will be taking place on the road between the main entrance roundabout and the roundabout outside the outpatient entrance which runs along the side of car park B.

Staff are advised to use the road at the rear of the site to enter/exit the site, otherwise to use public or sustainable travel wherever possible.

The contractors have reviewed the work that needs to be undertaken and are phasing it to minimise disruption. During the initial phase the road will be one way in, with exit via car park B. However, there will be a short period where car park B cannot be used so temporary traffic lights/stop go boards will be in operation. Please ensure that you follow the traffic management system set up by the contractors and be aware of the changes as the work progresses.

Watch: new medical staffing e-systems overview

Medical staff can watch an overview of the forthcoming new e-rostering and e-job planning system in a new film.

The HealthRota system is being rolled out across the Dorset Integrated Care System, including at University Hospitals Dorset, and the software supplier has put together a short film giving an overview of the powerful features in the app, as well as the wider system. The film is of interest to those who use rotas, as well as those who manage them. Watch it here.

The medical staffing systems programme team, made up of clinical, administrative, and operational staff, is leading on the implementation of the system at UHD and will shortly begin piloting it here.

New One Dorset Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) available from 17 August

The pathology and IT teams have been working on a major project across Dorset to implement a new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) which will provide a single pathology system for Dorset.

The existing LIMS will be replaced by WinPath Enterprise and the new system will go live on Tuesday 17 August. For up to date, regular information follow One Dorset Pathology on Twitter.

New leadership courses available

Our Dorset webinars for students considering a career in medicine

This is an opportunity for students in years 12 and 13 to hear more about a career in medicine and applying to medical school from a panel of experts, including qualified doctors in Dorset.

Celebrating the success of the vaccination programme in the south west

Colleagues across the south west are invited to a special 'Time for You' Teams session to celebrate the progress that has been made on the vaccination programme, and to say a huge thank you to those that have made it so successful.
