Single eCaMIS is coming
The trust is moving onto a single version of eCaMIS and we need to manage developments in the system to ensure we are not making any conflicting changes.
On this basis we have put a freeze in place for all requests for change to eCaMIS/CaMIS letters. This change will affect Poole, RBH and Christchurch services.
If you need to report an issue with a letter (which could have been caused by the letter changes for Single PAS) the app support team will triage the call. If it is low priority (cosmetic) or a completely new text, the request will be put on hold unless there is a direct severe impact on patients or the delivery of the Single PAS project.
It's National Healthcare Science Week
This week we are celebrating the work of our healthcare scientists, who are a critical part of every clinical pathway in UHD. The healthcare science workforce is hugely diverse, including over 50 areas of applied science that supports diagnosis and treatment. Their work spans the life sciences, physiological sciences, clinical engineering and medical physics; all of which are a vital part of modern patient care and change lives for the better.
There are more than 50,000 healthcare scientists working in the NHS and public health services, with over 200 here at UHD. Their work underpins 80% of all diagnoses their role stretches across the whole innovation pathway - from academic research to patient centred service transformation.
To find out more about our healthcare scientists keep an eye on our social media channels this Thursday and follow @HCS_UHDNHS.

RBH: Remembering Wayne
The estates department are sad to report the death of Wayne Hughes, one of our plumbers. Wayne worked for the trust for over 20 years and will be sadly missed. His ready smile and thoughtful and methodical approach to his work, has always been his trademark. Wayne had a love of motorcycles and could often be seen on the Quay in Poole on a Tuesday evening with a gleaming Harley-Davidson. He was very proud to win the "bike of the night" and his latest purchase (there were many) would cause a stir whenever he rode them to work. He will be greatly missed by the estates department and by many others within the trust.
