We appreciate that this an historic occasion, so we will have screens broadcasting the Royal funeral during the day for you to watch on your breaks. They will be in:
- The lecture theatres at RBH and Poole as well as the conference rooms in our education centres.
- In the Dolphin Restaurant at Poole and both the Shelley and Oasis restaurants at RBH.
A full timetable for the service is available here and read more about our plans here.
The Dolphin and Shelley will be open as normal and will have a memorial coffee and cake special offer for all. The Oasis will not be trading, but will be available for watching the service.

We have now received confirmation from ESR that the additional bank holiday will be nationally uploaded on to the system in due course. NHS Dorset EPR/PAS and the digital summit
In Dorset we have a once in a generation opportunity to invest in a next generation Electronic Patient Record. We know that clinicians want better clinical IT and to move this forward, we will be attending The Digital Summit on 21 September. The event will bring clinicians together from across Dorset to ensure that whatever decisions are reached about the organisational “footprint” of the new EPR are clinically led.
We expect that we can successfully apply for significant national funding to help us procure this new system. In order to deliver better “joined up” patient care, the national expectation is that we would use this opportunity to run fewer EPRs, for each Integrated Care System, than previously.
RBH: Car parking
A polite reminder that staff should not be parking within the contractor's car park at RBH. These spaces are behind the residences buildings, facing Wessex Fields. These spaces are reserved for contractors working on the transformation programme, and any unauthorised parking within this area may lead to works being delayed.
RBH: Window cleaning
The window cleaners will be on site from 26 September to clean the atrium and both wings. They will be cleaning both inside and outside. Please ensure you are satisfied with the cleanliness of your windows, any problems must be raised while they are on site via ext. 4454.
