Staff Bulletin 24 June 2022
Antenatal services coming together from September
From September we will be moving all our antenatal services to Poole as part of our plans to develop a combined maternity service.
Currently maternity services run across both the Royal Bournemouth and Poole hospital sites, with women travelling across hospitals for different appointments during their pregnancy.
Kerry Taylor, head of midwifery, said: "With all antenatal staff working together as one team, there will be more people to support antenatal services, greater consultant and midwife supervision and combined training."

Help our housekeeping colleagues
Please ensure we are following the correct procedures when disposing of linen, cardboard and waste. We are receiving reports that staff are leaving linen on the floor with bags open, disposing recycling waste in the wrong bins, leaving cardboard without folding it inside the cupboards and using sanitary bins as general waste bins.
If you are unsure on how to dispose of anything, please ask our friendly housekeeping team. We all have a part to play in supporting their work and keeping them safe when dealing with dangerous substances.
