#YouMatter – financial support available

When thinking about your wellbeing, an important - and often overlooked - part is financial. We all worry about money at some point in our lives, and we want to ensure you have access to the tools that can really make a difference.

UHD works with Salary Finance, an independent organisation who offer a range of financial services to NHS staff.

Through Salary Finance, you have access to:

  • loans repaid through salary
  • advances on earned pay for when you need it
  • simple savings accounts where you can save straight from your salary
  • money insights including budgeting tips and tools, videos and webinars

To find out more and apply, visit: uhd.salaryfinance.com Please note that while UHD is signposting to Salary Finance, we would always recommend you take your own independent financial legal advice.

Remember that wellbeing support is available to all of us. Please take a look on our dedicated intranet pages and share the information with your teams. If you are feeling overwhelmed, please talk to your line manager, and remember that our wellbeing support services and staff networks are also available to support staff at these times.

RBH: Inspections for all hoist slings and patient moving and handling equipment expiries

Without being inspected, this equipment must not be used. Please ensure the pre use safety checks are being carried out and are in date until November 2022.

In the event that a sling is discovered to be out of date of its safety check (LOLER), Please ensure a speedy return, via the onsite laundry if used, to the equipment library, where it will await a follow up inspection in July.
