Behaviours in the work place
The next virtual Schwartz Round focusing on 'Behaviours in the Workplace - why the way we are with each other is so important', will take place on Friday 16 April between 1-2pm. The round is open to all UHD staff and is a great chance to share experiences of good and bad working relationships and how it affects all aspects of our lives.
This will be a normal Teams meeting – not a live event. Everyone will be asked to mute themselves but they will be invited to put their hand up/unmute if they wish to contribute/participate. You can join on your computer or mobile by clicking here.
Unfortunately the meeting will be limited to 100 people so if staff can safely socially distance around a PC or laptop then more people will have access to the event.
Ask Aly...
The next 'Ask Aly' event with our chief medical officer, Dr Alyson O'Donnell, will be 15 April, 12.30-1.30pm. It's a great opportunity to ask questions, raise concerns and share your views.
You can join the meeting here and if you'd like to send any questions in an advance, pop them through to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and we can ask on your behalf.
Reflecting on our new charity's day of celebrations
There's been lots of positive feedback reflecting the day of celebrations as University Hospitals Dorset NHS Charity came into being on 1 April.
Debbie Fleming, chief executive, said that establishing the new charity makes possible many exciting developments, both now and in the future: "Through the creation of University Hospital Dorset NHS Charity, we hope that, with the support of our donors, we will be able to make patients and their families more comfortable, provide more and better equipment, and support the health and wellbeing of our staff."
