B2 is a 23-bedded Gynaecology and Colorectal Ward, taking patients from 16 years upwards. The Nurses work in two teams. Each team has a seperate Nurses station.

We practice the enhanced recovery programme, which ensures patients are optimised for their procedure, reducing complications following surgery and the length of time spent in hospital.
The ward has a breakfast room overlooking Poole Park and harbour.
We encourage our patients to mobilise early, to enhance patient recovery.
Please feel free to help yourself to hot drinks in between Housekeeper drinks rounds.
Useful ward information:
- Mobile phones are permitted - patients are asked to respect the privacy of others at all times (please do not use any camera facility your phone may have).
- Flowers are not permitted.
- Telephone enquiries regarding patients should be made after 11am to allow our ward staff to focus on clinical duties and providing patients with personal attention.
- There is very limited storage on the ward so please only bring your essentials.

The first number is manned by the Ward Clerk during busy times from 0800 - 1400 and will then go to answer machine.
Visiting: 1400 - 1600 and 1800 - 2000.
How to find us: Directions to the ward from the Dome entrance: left hand entrance turn right to the lifts, and take the lift to level 2 ward B2. Directions to the ward from the Longfleet Rd entrance: main entrance head straight on, turn right towards outpatients, turn right towards x-ray department, take lift to level 2 ward B2.
Discharge home information: On the day of discharge, you may be asked to sit in the dayroom if you are waiting for relatives to collect you. This is to enable us to receive patients from theatre.
