Ward facilities include a patients and relatives lounge with a large Freeview TV, garden and conservatory. Each bed has its own flat screen TV and DVD player.

The Emergency Department deals with genuine life-threatening emergencies, such as:

• Mobiles can be used if kept on silent, with permission.
• Flowers are not currently permitted
• Facilities for carers or family members to stay may be available, please enquire.

Forest Holme has its own small car park but parking is very limited. We would ask you to be considerate of the needs of others, and to encourage friends to park in one of the nearby pay-and-display car parks at the hospital or the swimming pool, so that close family members can park on site.

Both the rail station and the bus station are within walking distance for the reasonably fit: allow about five minutes to walk up Seldown Lane if you are coming by bus and an extra five minutes if you are travelling by train.

The front door of Forest Holme is usually kept locked for security reasons so when you arrive please ring the door bell and someone will let you in.
