We are based in the Bournemouth Diabetes and Endocrine Centre (BDEC) located at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital. We see people who have lipid and metabolic conditions. Lipids are blood fats and include cholesterol.
We run weekly clinics for patients with genetic and polygenic hyperlipidaemia and work closely with our Diabetes Team to manage diabetes dyslipidaemia. We liaise with the British Heart Foundation familial hypercholesterolaemia nursing service in Hampshire and the genetic lab in Bristol.
We operate a 'choose and book' service.
