Endometriosis Care at the Dorset Endometriosis Centre (DEC)

Treatment for severe endometriosis has improved a lot in recent years. There are now more options available, but some of these treatments are quite specialised and require experienced doctors and advanced equipment.

The Dorset Endometriosis Centre (DEC) offers expert care for people with endometriosis. Our aim is to provide the best possible support and treatment in one place. We offer:

• Weekly clinics at both Bournemouth and Poole with the Consultant specialists and a dedicated nurse clinic specifically for endometriosis patients.
• A team of clinicians who work together, including experts in keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery, bowel (colorectal) surgery, pain management, and advanced imaging (radiology).
• Access to modern equipment, including high-definition cameras and advanced laser technology used during surgery.

How to get referred

You can be referred to the clinic by your GP through the ‘Choose and Book’ system, or by another hospital specialist.
