Transport

Will transport be provided for my appointment?

You may be able to access hospital transport if you have a clinical need.

If you can arrange for a friend or relative to bring you or if you can make your way here independently that is preferable and will prevent any delays in your transportation to and from the centre.

Each Clinical Commissioning Group who provides transport has a set of strict guidelines indicating who is entitled to transport. You may be eligible for hospital transport if you have difficulty accessing a car because:

• You are unable to transfer into a car
• You can only travel in a wheelchair
• You are unable to leave home independently due to access problems
