Freedom of Information
The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 2000 gives anyone the right to request information held by a public authority, including NHS Trusts.
The Act also places an emphasis on public authorities to be seen to provide greater openness, transparency and accountability. giving the public a greater understanding on:

How the public authority carries out its responsibilities,

Why the decisions are made, and
-
How public money is spent.
Under the FOIA we are required to adopt a Publication Scheme, giving you the opportunity to obtain information about our organisation. This section explains what information you can request, how to make that request together with details of what’s included within our Publication Scheme.
Publication Scheme
Under the FOIA we are required to have a Publication Scheme, which is approved by the Information Commissioners Office. This allows us you to obtain information about the Trust. You can access the information by clicking on the links on the left hand menu.
Making a request for information.
Requests for information will be released provided the data requested is not protected from release by one of the exemptions. Further information can be found at www.ico.gov.uk.
