Staff Bulletin 8 July 2022
Covid sickness absence
The national staff terms and conditions section of the Covid-19 guidance has been withdrawn. This means that from yesterday (7 July), all new Covid-19 staff absences will be recorded, paid and managed in line with normal contractual sick pay.
Staff with existing Covid-19 positive/Covid-19 illness absences prior to 7 July who continue to be unwell, will be transitioned back to their normal contractual sick pay entitlements on 1 September, unless they have already returned to work.
The Covid-19 FAQs have been updated and are available here.

Meeting and training rooms for all at Yeomans House
Yeomans House is now home to many of our office-based teams who moved away from the acute hospital sites to free up space and facilitate the reconfiguration programme. As well as these office spaces, there are also a range of meeting and training rooms that can be used by anyone in the trust. You can find out all you need to know about the facilities here and how to book resources via UBook on the intranet.
Do you have permission to post?
Social media is a fantastic tool for us to share our good news, celebrate our teams, and connect with other healthcare professionals. It is important however, that when we post an image to social media we have permission from everyone in the image. If you are sharing an image of a patient to social media you must have written consent - our consent form can be downloaded here. If you are sharing an image of your colleagues on your personal profile, or on an account affiliated with UHD, please ensure you ask for their verbal permission before posting, and that they understand where their image will be posted and for what purpose.
We recommend all staff are familiar with our social media policy, and if you have any questions about the policy, or sharing content on your channel, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
