Circuit training classes

You may be referred into the circuits class by your NHS physiotherapist, to see your NHS physiotherapist will need a referral from your GP, consultant or via NHS staff self referral scheme from occupational health.

The programme will consist of an evidence based exercise circuit tailored by your physiotherapist to your rehabilitation needs.

Classes are held four times a week, usually you will agree an amount with your physiotherapist, and are likely to have your exercise programme updated periodically. Remember to take things at your own pace.

Classes are run in a group format, it is supervised by a qualified member of staff and managed by a senior physiotherapist.

The classes run

Monday 10:50am – 12:30pm

Tuesday 8:30 – 10:00am

Thursday 8:30 – 10:00am

Friday 10:50am – 12:30pm

We do not run sessions on bank holidays.

The circuits class is run in the therapy services department gym which is located on the lower ground floor, entrance 8.

Please report to the physiotherapy outpatients reception on arrival, then take a seat in the waiting area near the gym and you will be called into the class.

  • Please wear suitably loose clothing for an active class such as t-shirt.
  • Please ensure you have been inducted to the gym and have practiced your exercises.
  • If unable to attend please let us know 0300 019 2121. If we are not informed this will go down as a ‘did not attend’. You will then be discharged and this will be corresponded to your GP.
