Radiotherapy Education and Careers
We have a small radiotherapy education team who facilitate bespoke radiotherapy education, training and support for radiotherapy staff and learners.
Radiotherapy is a very rewarding career. Therapeutic Radiographers must complete a 3 year BSc. Hons degree to be eligible to practice at a starting Band 5 level.
We work with two universities to provide clinical placements for undergraduate students
Therapeutic Radiographers – What we do
We work with The university of the West of England to provide a very small number of degree apprenticeships at Poole Radiotherapy Department.
Apprenticeship opportunities are advertised on NHS jobs and are usually advertised between August and October.
We are a very busy department. Due to the sensitive nature of our work, any requests for visits must be relevant to your area of practice, or a genuine interest in radiotherapy as a career.
