TB Specialist Nurse
To provide holistic and non-judgemental care and service regarding the treatment and prevention of TB. To provide expert advice and education to health professionals and the public and support to workers from the statutory and voluntary sectors on all aspects of TB prevention and control.
Please contact your GP if you are experiencing any of these symptoms for longer than 3 weeks.
If you think you have had recent close and prolonged exposure to a case of pulmonary (lung) TB or you have been experiencing any of the above symptoms for longer than 3 weeks, please contact your GP to discuss this. Your GP may arrange a chest X-Ray, ask you to provide sputum samples or refer you to a specialist team for review.

We are a team of specialist nurses, physiotherapists and health care assistants specialising in chronic lung conditions for those patients living within East Dorset and the Purbecks. We have a team based at Poole Hospital who cares for patients registered with Poole and Purbeck GPs and a team based at Bournemouth Hospital for patients registered with Bournemouth GPs.

We also provide the local home oxygen assessment service.
Patients must be under a respiratory consultant at Poole Hospital or the Royal Bournemouth Hospital to access DAIRS and the oxygen assessment service.
