Diabetes (BDEC)

The Bournemouth Diabetes and Endocrine centre is based within the Royal Bournemouth Hospital which is situated close to extensive Bournemouth beaches and the picturesque New Forest.

We provide diabetes treatment for patients in Bournemouth, part of the New Forest, and Lymington.

We are one of the country's leading centres in insulin pump therapy and diabetes technology. Many of our patients travel from the Southern counties to see us for our expert knowledge of pump therapy.

We provide a large number of courses to assist patients with understanding and managing their diabetes. We have a strong team of diabetes experts to educate patients and their families.

We have a large diabetes research department and we are constantly striving to improve our knowledge and understanding of diabetes. Many of our patients have kindly taken part in research studies over the years and have helped add to our understanding of diabetes.
