Pump courses

Thank you for your interest in our Bournemouth Pump Training courses.

The date for the next 2 day face to face Pump course in Bournemouth is Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th October 2025 at the Village Hotel.

Course fee £440

Pump Programme

We have a maximum of 30 delegates attending and this course offers considerable amount of interaction and shared experiences, both between delegates as well as with insulin pump companies. You get the chance to wear a pump and have the practical experience of using this technology and will spend time with different pump/HCL companies and make comparisons between the systems functionalities.

The aim of the course is to develop and enhance skills and knowledge of insulin pump therapy and Hybrid Closed Loop systems (HCL).

You might already have some experience of insulin pumps and HCLs in your practice or perhaps you are new to diabetes technologies.

Covered by this course are pre-pump patient assessments, insulin setting calculations, carb counting with pump therapy,  self-management skills, understanding key and advanced features of various tubed and patch pump systems and includes essential information on the main hybrid closed loop systems, considerations for service organisation, data interpretation and pump/HCL setting adjustments.

It  is not an advanced training course but can consolidate your experience and knowledge and provide new understandings if your experience is very limited. Shared learning and practical exposure to the technologies are key elements.

Please see quotes from health professionals who have attended courses in 2024:

"Excellent, enjoyable course which has greatly improved my confidence in managing patients on insulin pumps"

"Fantastic team lovely environment fantastic experience great opportunity to have an overview to direct further learning thoroughly enjoyed the course thankyou"

"The course was absolutely fantastic, I learnt so much and my confidence has grown significantly in my ability to support patients on an insulin pump. I really enjoyed getting to network with other diabetes HCPs and see how their services compare to our own. I thought it was great to be able to wear a pump and speak in depth with the reps about the different features of their pumps. I would highly recommend the course and really enjoyed it"

"All speakers demonstrated in-depth knowledge on the subject matter they were discussing"
