The dates of the next courses for 2023 and 2024 are:
Virtual one day pump training on via Microsoft Teams. Cost is £150
Friday 15th December 2023
This course offers much of the core teaching in the 2-day course but there is limited interaction. You will get 2 pump systems demonstrated in break out rooms but there isn't the option for hands on experience and less experience around Hybrid Closed Loop systems.
This could be a suitable option if you are very new to working in diabetes services or if you find it difficult to travel and take time away from your base.
The aim of this course is to develop key skills and knowledge of insulin pump therapy.
It includes choosing patients, pre pump assessments, pump insulin settings, carb counting with pump therapy, pump self-management skills, understanding key features of tubed and patch pump system, service organisation, essential data interpretation and pump setting adjustments.

Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd February 2024, cost £425 This course is now full
Thursday 15th and Friday 16th August 2024, cost £425
Thursday 28th and Friday 29th November 2024, cost £425.

We have a maximum of 30 delegates attending and this course offers considerable amount of interaction, both between delegates as well as with insulin pump companies. You get the chance to wear a pump and have the practical experience of using this technology.
The aim of the course is to develop and enhance skills and knowledge of insulin pump therapy.
You might already have some experience of insulin pumps and hybrid closed loop systems in your practice or be new to diabetes technologies.
The course includes Pre pump patient assessments, insulin setting calculations, carb counting with pump therapy, pump self-management skills, understanding key and advanced features of various tubed and patch pump systems including hybrid closed loop systems, considerations for service organisation, data interpretation and pump setting adjustments.
The cost of £425 does NOT include accommodation. Please arrange and fund your own accommodation. The Village Hotel offer a corporate rate of £93 per night B & B but early booking is advisable.
